Kidderminster Canal Festival

Kidderminster Canal Festival

19 August 2010 – 21 August 2010

Kidderminster on the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal is holding its first ever canal festival.

The festival will include the ‘Dreamcatcher’ passenger barge offering boat trips along the canal, a working heritage boat for visitors to explore and trade boats selling a variety of goods from the waterside. The ever popular Cheese Boat will also be at the festival with its fine and sometimes unusual selection of cheese, pickles and preserves.

In addition to this, the adjacent canal side at the Weavers Wharf shopping centre will have a fun fair, a stage with acts on throughout the day, and a continental market.

The canal festival will take place during the well established and very successful Kidderminster Arts Festival taking place in the town centre, so there will be plenty to see and do.
